Evoqua Water Technologies has entered right into a definitive settlement to acquire Smith Engineering Inc, a US designer, manufacturer and servicer of customized high purity water treatment tools.
Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering provides water treatment products and services, together with filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, information centre, meals and beverage, healthcare, medical system and microelectronics markets. The firm has greater than 1,200 customers in North America.
Evoqua says that the acquisition will improve its portfolio of high purity water treatment systems and increase its service footprint in North America.
“Smith Engineering has built a strong reputation as a trusted associate, providing dependable high purity water solutions and providers to their broad buyer portfolio,” said Ron Keating, Evoqua’s CEO. “This addition will further strengthen our service footprint in North America, enabling us to higher serve our prospects.”
